District Policy Committee
What we do!
- We locate and focus on issues concerning Fremont Unified School District and its schools as a whole
- We brainstorm ideas and come up with solutions to solve the issues
- You can have the power to influence our district and its schools for the better! We warmly welcome anyone who wants to make a difference in the community by being green.
- Our current primary project:Getting FIERCE officially recognized by Fremont Unified School District! This should help us gain influence and obtain grants.
- Other concurrent projects:
- Implementing recycling programs district-wide (all Fremont high schools have already started leading the way!) and especially at the district office!
- Bringing green waste "on the radar" when it comes to cafeteria leftovers and getting the district to adopt green waste composting at all schools!
- Reducing the use of Styrofoam by getting Styrofoam banned at Fremont schools and encouraging the recycling of plastic bottles at all schools.
